So I’m watching the NAACP awards last night how impressed I was to see such entertaining and astute black folks….Now don’t get me wrong I know my peeps got it going on now….but you have to admit the last few years we have dropped the ball….pants down around our butts…..songs calling our woman bitches and whores…..killing each other in gang violence…etc….so it is good to see us coming back BLACK to support BLACK….never did I ever think that we were anything else……My feelings in these times of stupidity running for president, we black people have to show up and show out with more intelligence and grace than ever…..We have to take over mainstream……because if we don’t the next president is sure to figure something out to put us back in chains……Remember slavery wasn’t totally abolished….It was just put away….there is a huge difference……So I say to my wonderful and beautiful black sisters and brothers keep on showing up and showing out letting the OTHERS know we are where to stay…….

I was listening to a  FOX NEWS interview and the interviewee could not think of a word to describe the people of BALTIMORE that were rioting so he stated ” shall we say GHETTO”….WOW!!!!…..I though to myself hmmmm is the term “GHETTO and THUG” the new “N” word????? This thought has crossed my mind before…These two words, the NEW description of Black people seem to give that “PASS” to people who feel they are not allowed or cannot use the “N” word…..All you hear now is “She’s so GHETTO”…..”He’s a THUG”…..”It’s so GHETTO”….”Thats so GHETTO”……Even talk show hosts like Wendy Williams use the term all the time……Do we describe living in concentrated poverty “THE GHETTO” IF WE DO NOT LIVE THERE?????……..are oppressed people the same as “THUGS OR GHETTO” slaves were oppressed they weren’t “THUGS”….after all the term “GHETTO” was directed to the JEWS during the holocaust…..How it became the “IT” word in the Black community I really don’t know….I say we refrain from using any kind of negative description of Black people and just say “PEOPLE”…….When you are raised in an environment of systemic brokenness  you do become enraged because you  know there IS another way of life, but the system just won”t  let you get to it…..When the two worlds collide America is attacked by what they have designed…..But we cannot arrest our way out of crime or the “GHETTO”….America is OVERLY abundant in EVERYTHING we need….The count of  things we have is far beyond our realm….So why are the people running this great country getting paid MILLIONS while the people who are building it get nothing…as long as  unequal distribution of wealth exists I guess we will always have “GHETTOS and THUGS”…….America needs to once and for all open its doors to the very people she welcomed as slaves!!!!!!!

The things that are happening in our communities are a continuum of what hasn’t changed in America….Peace is losing its purpose……Lets not let that happen……ALL LIVES MATTER

I am MAD….SAD…..over the media analogy of Black people this week..”THUGS”…I am very disappointed in this choice of description of the young black people who were in fact doing what they should not have been doing..But to refer to them as “THUGS” isn’t helping, understanding has to be the approach. Educating  the community has to be the approach…Providing  jobs in the community has to be the approach….After school programs has to be the approach..Parent education has to be the approach…Healthcare has to be the approach….We are trying to save these kids not throw them away….Every child that breaks the law isn’t a thug….Our kids don’t always abide by our expectations..So we teach them we don’t just throw them away by labeling them hopeless “THUGS…. Are our politicians that lie, steal and cheat ever referred to as thugs..No they are not…The thing is the state of this country is never going to change as long as America ignores her past….none of this is new…..Had it not been for riots and protest and war we would still be slaves………I would never condone rioting of any kind…I do believe in peaceful protest…But I also have to say I totally understand where the anger and rage comes from….Its the same as any other pressure point eventually it blows…..Unfortunately these actions are always in disenfranchised areas……area’s  of our country where our America does not pump the same utensils to function normally as they do shall we say “suburban” areas…..You all watch the news and read the papers there is ALWAYS a park..school..stores….grants…HOPE….etc given to suburban areas WHY aren’t these same advantages given to “urban” areas…..How can anyone function when the world is locked out to them….you cannot function if you do not have the tools to function with……Now I’m not speaking about handouts….I”m speaking of the utensils and rights these people in these depressed areas are entitled to under our Constitution…….AMERICA has a responsibility to its people ALL of its people and right now she is failing…..

BLACK LIVES REALLY DO MATTER!!!!!!!

Rioting has always been the response for THE HAVE NOTS…the part of our society that does not get the same attention and qualities that THE HAVES get….unfortunately  it is always in our Black neighborhoods…….Usually precipitated  lately by the killing of black men by rogue police officers…….But lets face it these protests and riots are not just about the latest black male police  killing, this is about a history of oppression and abuse at the hands of white males in AMERICA…..Black people were brought to this country 200+ years ago for white people’s purpose to do WHATEVER they wanted…..AFRICAN people were kidnaped and brought  into LAWLESSNESS and as we are seeing lately AMERICA seems to be taking 10 steps backwards……The mindset of AMERICA has always been when black people get out of CONTROL “kill them”….We all remember Emmett Till and many others..So clearly now in Baltimore a black man cannot make eye contact with a rogue police officer  without being murdered….But what happens when we riot in our own neighborhoods is that it takes the Media and the Investigators attentions off of the murder that just happened and places the blame and the story on the riot and the community people…I’m watching the news about Baltimore and the press is so focused on the rioting…..I haven’t heard anything about the MURDER of Freddie Gray or the arrest and prosecution of the officers that killed him…

With respect to how we get to order and understanding TELL THE PEOPLE OF THESE COMMUNITIES THE TRUTH!!!!……HOLD ACCOUNTABLE THE ROGUE POLICE OFFICERS THAT KEEP COMMITTING THESE CRIMES……Our Justice Department HAS to take a VERY different look into these rogue police on people crimes…..It is obvious  when white males are arrested it is VERY different then when black males are arrested….

As always let me make it clear I am neither racist, bigoted, or bias…..I am as much Black as I am White……I love all people as they are…..but I was born and raised in AMERICA I know what I see and and listen to what is reported on the news…..I ALSO KNOW MY HISTORY……..BLACK LIVES DO MATTER…..And anybody who knows their history knows that AMERICA was built by the sweat of black peoples brow…….And our FREEDOMS were hard fought………BLACK LIVES REALLY DO MATTER!!!!!!!!

I really never really wanted to write about this topic again….”THE SYSTEMIC KILLING OF BLACK MEN BY WHITE POLICE OFFICERS IN AMERICA” But why should I remain quiet..I just wanted to get most of the facts before I spoke out…So this time it CANNOT BE DISPUTED!!!! The killing of Walter Scott by Police Officer Michael Slager. Of course AMERICA will get Officer Slager the best lawyers and they will try to discredit Mr. Scott….But I believe this once some form of justice will prevail..But what remains to be seen is how Officer Slager will be sentenced…Anybody can be convicted but it’s the sentence that really pays for the crime…..

Seemly all of the Black men that are murdered by rogue police are from improvised areas….HMMM…like the voiceless..Is the mindset of these rogue police, that these people have no representation or maybe the community isn’t capable of speaking out……Well I think they are learning different now with the entire country  fighting for the same justices….I was listening to the idiot newscasters from FOX NEWS compare the amount of Black male shootings to 50 years ago  “saying percentage wise it  is lower now”…I’m like are they kidding why would they compare this to a time when black people could not even vote and black people were being killed just for walking on a sidewalk…..but then I thought how far we really haven’t come AND how far we have come…After all we do have a Black President..

Again the police departments around the ENTIRE country have to revamp critical thinking training…THIS IS A MUST…THEY CANNOT CONTINUE THIS WAR ON BLACK MEN….I read something where someone wrote “should black women stop having babies so our sons won’t be killed by police”….Wouldn’t that be the completion of GENOCIDE BY POLICE…HOW MANY MORE BLACK MEN…….

WOW!!!!!!! What a DARING IDEA by STARBUCKS….I think its great that Starbucks has opened up that forever sealed pandora”s box of “misunderstood” dialog we call RACISM,  BIGOTRY & DISCRIMINATION……being as most of the discrimination we experience is outside of our homes by strangers in the public sector……what sense does it make keeping this “dirty little secret” quiet any longer…….If this ugly topic becomes common POSITIVE conversation  maybe just maybe people will understand more of the  “unlike me experiences” of other people and their cultures, religions and ethnicities,. Social  issues in our AMERICA is a VERY touchy subject, but the conversation has to start  somewhere….I hope other companies and business as well as everyday people will do things of  this same nature to start the dialog to bring  PEACE to our country. THERE’S ALWAYS STRENGTH IN NUMBERS…..KUDOS TO YOU STARBUCKS 🙏✌️👍

The goings on all over the country is becoming very overwhelming…my writing may be all over the place today because I have so much on my brain…..First and foremost  I must say I am neither racist, bigot or hateful….I don’t love black people anymore than I love white people or people I haven’t met…..But I do know what I have been seeing and hearing and this country is operating on total racist practices from the highest level of government to the lowest level of poverty…I can’t imagine this is all because we have an intelligent self-assured black male running the free world….Is America insuring themselves that there will not be another black president for another 100 years….I mean after all Black men have ALWAYS tried to survive in a system that never really wanted them to succeed…

Which brings me to Eric Holder and the Justice Department…..You guys failed the people of Ferguson Missouri and the parents of Michael Brown….Why aren’t you looking into overturning the Michael Brown decision in light of the new findings of how racist and bias practices ruled the Ferguson police department…..are we to believe that these select group of police officers are protected by some RACIST LAW!!!!!!…..THE POLICE OFFICER THAT SHOT MICHAEL BROWN NEEDS TO BE INDICTED!!!….police officers in this country cannot continue to bring their “guns to a fist fight”……Police offices cannot continue this form of GENOCIDE on our young black sons…….I believe in equal rights for everyone ( little delusional with that one )…..violence against is not acceptable under any circumstances and my prayers go out to the police officers and their families that were shot in Ferguson….but lets not let that mask the still existing corruption and racism in the Ferguson Missouri police department….and lets never forget the 4 hours MICHAEL BROWN laid dead on the ground while they clearly created a story to  justify this murder…..I say Ferguson continue your peaceful protest and never give up your voices you will be heard!!!…

And to EVERYONE else around this country we call our home  BLACK LIVES MATTER…….JUSTICE WAKE UP!!!!!!!

I love social media…I love how people, strangers and friends can connect and share everything from recipes to books to the latest fashion statement to the best doctors in town to ways of healing mild illness’…What a wonderful thing…..then along comes a “HATER” people who criticize…volunteer their negative comments and opinions…Who cares….those types of comments aren’t welcome….that is not why social media came to be….So my challenge is for those of you who are on social media if you read or see something negative delete that  person from your friend list and just ignore the comment….I purged my FACEBOOK and INSTAGRAM  friend list in the beginning of the year…..Now I’m not saying that people aren’t entitled to their own opinions “agree to disagree” but there is a respectable way to do it….So you social media creeps tone it down…..NOBODY’S  LISTENING!!!!!!!…..

I hope EVERY BODY in AMERICA watched the speech that President Barak Obama gave on The Edmund Pettus Bridge today Honoring the 50th anniversary of BLOODY SUNDAY and the People who were beaten for our FREEDOMS in AMERICA……It was truly the beginning of a new American mindset if anyone was listening…..Our President really embodies the American Spirit……When we lose this President we are going to lose a bright future for America….His speech was a letter to young American Black Men letting them know that you are never too young to embark on the FREEDOM RIDE…Martin Luther King was in his twenties when he started fighting for the freedoms of black people… He was 39 when he was murdered for the fight ……..Barak Obama sets the standard for what young black men can be in this country today and the standard is high but clearly not  unattainable…..Although the work is no where near done the torch is ready to be passed …..STAND UP YOUNG BLACK MEN and do the work…LET GO OF THE CYNISM WE HAVE REGARDING AMERICA…….DO NOT LET THE PAIN OF THE PAST HAVE THE LAST WORD!!!!!!!…..

Having said that I do have a question why is it that in this day and era  does “the voting rights act” have to be renewed into law every few years…….Not sure of that one…..Does white america have to renew their voting rights???????…..So I say to my Black Brothers & Sisters TIME TO CROSS A BRIDGE……..

Why IS everything so expensive????….When it’s so cheap to make…Yes I own computers..cell phones..and at least one of just about every type of techie item..Yes I have fallen victim to the indoctrinated belief that one cannot survive without these things and more…But why are they so expensive when they are made outside of the USA by cheap labor and brought back into the USA and sold for hundreds of dollars and we buy it….WHY ARE THESE ITEMS SO EXPENSIVE????….Yes I admit I own a couple of (supposedly) high-end designer bags and shoes, I know for a fact this items cost next to nothing to produce and nothing to design but yet the cheapest GUCCI bag is about 1400…..WHAT THE HELL FOR!!!!!….but yet we buy, because of the indoctrinated belief that carrying a high-end bag and wearing high-end shoes some how makes us a better or more important person…..We don’t buy these item just for ourselves we buy them for other people to see and know we can have them..right!!!!….Personally I have come to know that a lesser known good leather bag or shoes or computer or camera or cell phone works just same or just as good as the overly expensive ones…YES I’M A CLOSET APPLE GIRL I must be honest….I’m putting myself to a challenge ( I must tell you I’ve failed at this before ) No new high-end expensive techie items or high-end designer junk for 5 years……..I don’t  I need it anymore.  I HAVE ENOUGH!!!!!…..Instead I’m going to start donating more to charity and those in need…SO IF A DESIGNER WANTS ME TO CARRY HIS OR HER JUNK THEIR GONNA HAVE TO GIVE IT O ME FOR FREE!!!!!
